One Button Operation for Total Control

Spectra Watermakers has led the industry for almost a decade with the MPC 3000 controller giving the consumer the best in reliability and control. The Spectra MPC 3000 was a breakthrough in desalination monitoring, convenience and control. Spectra brought one touch control and a five day freshwater flush capability into one simple to use unit. While dominating the low power watermaking revolution, Spectra continued to influence the market with new and innovative ideas such as the Clark Pump, Z-Brane, and now continues the trend with the introduction of the Spectra MPC 5000 remote controller. This, combined with Spectra’s dedicated global distribution and service network, offers the customer a product unparalleled in the marine industry.
The Spectra MPC 5000 advances the concept enhancing the total reliability of the watermaker system. The new MPC 5000 incorporates keypad programming capability so that the owner, installer or technician can make programming adjustments with ease aboard the vessel. This new control is designed to be “Mission Critical” allowing the watermaker to remain operational even in the event a sensor or component in the system fails. This is accomplished by going into the program mode and bypassing the alarm state so the equipment will still operate until the sensor can be repaired. Actual salinity can be tested with a hand held meter and then the unit can be simply and accurately calibrated from the keypad. The new control monitors product water salinity, product water flow and system pressures with higher resolution and precision. Plus, it retains Spectra’s exclusive filter monitoring system so you always know when to maintain and clean the system pre-filters. It’s like an “electronic watch dog” keeping tabs on system functions.
New units with the MPC 5000, including new A-31 software
will be rolling off the production line by March 1st. The new systems
will not require a computer hook up for trouble shooting or parameter
adjustment like its predecessor the MPC 3000. All adjustments can be
accomplished from the four button display keypad. The manual for the
MPC 5000 will be available on the web site very shortly.
New replacement boards will be the MPC 5000 version and will require
some wiring modifications. Instructions will come with new boards.
Basic MPC 5000 Controller with System Options
Notes:
The MPC 5000 controller pictured above has a factory pre-assembiled option.
See price pages.
The Retrofit MPC 5000 Controller System does not include the fresh water
flush system.
The pre-filter condition sensor option is required for pre-filter condition
display and alarm functions.
The prime valve is used for the automatic priming feature of the controller.
For MPC 5000 controllers that will be added to existing Spectra Watermakers,
the Clark high-pressure pump needs to be modified. See an authorized
Spectra distributor for exchange procedures.
