DISASTER RELIEF
During an emergency, when the water supply has become undrinkable, the Spectra land-based Solar Cube units can be lifesaving. These systems are completely self-contained and portable. They can operate independent of the grid when power is down. Power can be supplied by the attached solar panels and wind generator, or by an auxiliary generator.
These small plants come in several configurations and can produce from 3,000 to 15,000 liters of pure potable water per day depending on the water source. For seawater or brackish water, reverse osmosis is employed, and for contaminated fresh water, ultra-filtration membranes purify the water. The modular construction facilitates ease of handling, maintenance, and placement.
One unit could sustain hundreds of families during a disaster. It can also provide enough excess energy for emergency disaster officials to power refrigeration for emergency medical supplies, keep a laptop online, or ensure that crisis communications equipment remains operational.
A unit was shipped and put into use during the devastating earthquake in Pakistan.

SOLAR CUBE FOR DISASTER RELIEF
The Spectra Solar Cube can purify and desalinate water from almost any source. Powered from the integrated photovoltaic solar panels and wind-powered generator, Solar Cube solutions can provide both pure drinking water and electricity for small villages and disaster relief.
Each system is sold complete and ready to deploy in a matter of hours. No building or infrastructure is required. Each Spectra Solar Cube is built in Switzerland and the U.S. using the finest materials and craftsmanships - engineered for years of rugged service.
Solar Cube's concept is unique in its format. It provides both water and electricity without the need for perpetual fuel or fuel transport costs.
The modular format makes the systems easy to maintain as each module or subsystem can be removed from the cube for accessibility and easy maintenance. Each Solar Cube system has a reliable Trunz Back-Filter TM system, a proprietary automatic backwashing filter system, as well as a dependable water delivery pump, battery bank, inverter (to provide AC power), controls, wind generator, solar panels, and full ultra-filtration water purification or reverse-osmosis water desalination.
SSW 5800
Spectra Solar Seawater System Produces 5,800 Liters of pure fresh water a day from ocean water or saline wells. Utilizing Spectra's proprietary Pearson pump technology, the system can produce more water with less energy than any other small scale system available today. The desalination system operates efficiently, quietly and reliably for thousands of hours without major service. The system is specifically designed to be rugged and reliable for operation in remote conditions.
SSBW 15000
The Spectra Solar Brackish Water System can provide up to 15,000 liters a day depending on the salinity of the feed water. It can operate in a feed water range from sea water down to a few thousand parts per million of salinity such as brackish wells and lakes. Utilizing a hybrid of technologies the Spectra brackish system can operate in a full range of conditions all the while maintaining the renowned Spectra efficiency.
